NHER mythbusters: rewriting the myths of NHER membership

It is easy to be lead by myths and misconceptions - but these can often stop you from making good decisions!

In recent months we have been engaging with energy assessors across the UK at various events and over the phone to see just what they expect from their accreditation scheme. In doing this, we found that many non-NHER members held common misconceptions about the scheme which we are keen to dispel.

But first, let's take a look at the facts according to our members... 

  • "NHER is a high quality scheme" 

    Our excellent customer service, attention to detail, heritage and technical understanding in the industry makes us the high quality scheme you deserve. Our recent survey shows that 98% of our members were satisfied or extremely satisfied with our technical support service.  

  • "NHER provides great software that's easy to use".

  • "NHER is more expensive than my current scheme".

  • "NHER is strict with its auditing regime". 

    All accreditation schemes are bound by the same Scheme Operating Requirements set by DCLG, so we are subject to the same rules as all other accreditation schemes.

  • "NHER makes you pay in advance for lodgements".

    In July 2014, the Direct Debit function was brought in allowing assessors to pay for lodgements on a monthly basis. It's easy to sign up when you join us.
